Catherine Awa is the President/Founder of Assured Home Services. She is a registered nurse with VNA CARE Network and Partners Healthcare in Massachusetts. Catherine was born in Uganda and migrated to the United States September 10th, 2001, to live with her mother. She got interested in nursing when visiting nurses came to take care of her mom.
Quality In-Home Care
Catherine has worked at Newton Wellesley hospital as a bedside nurse before transferring to Home health nursing. She works as a visiting nurse performing initial assessments, providing treatments and patient/ family education.
Catherine is also the founder of the Nonprofit, Health Actions for Ugandans; which offer community health education, navigation, empowerment, and awareness.
In addition to running Assured Home Services, her role is to provide and oversee nursing care- through weekly drop-in visits/ phone calls. She works with clients and caregivers to identify and minimize barriers to providing coordinated care. She also monitors the quality of home care delivered by reviewing documentation, meeting with clients and caregivers, and investigating all practice concerns. She continually demonstrates an awareness of and adheres to compliance regulations to maintain safety and continuation of services

Catherine brings years of experience in cardiac telemetry, meds urgent and orthopedics.
She received her nursing degree from Labour's College in 2008 and is CPR and BLS certified.
Catherine lives with her husband and is a mother of 4 daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, dancing and reading
